Hey people how are you guys out there in Cyber world doing?..I hope all is well. So it has been a long time since I wrote an entry. When I started this blog I was the only person I knew with one, they said I was conceited and full of myself, now everywhere I turn I hear "check out my blog". It's kinda funny to me because I used to think of a blogger as a certain type of person, but those stereotypes have been shattered . Now the dude hustling on the corner takes a break to update his blog, Twitter, Facebook, Myspace ...you name it. Don't get me wrong I think it's cool that everyone is blogging , but I can't help but laugh at it sometimes. At the start of my blog in 07 , I went to a million events a week and I wanted everyone to keep up with me , especially my dad who lives in New Zealand. Now when he calls me he seems to have no clue as to what is going on with me. It's not that I don't want to blog anymore it's just that I don't even know where to start. I took an extended brake from my blog because I just got too busy and it seemed like the haters were having more fun with my blog than I was. To tell you the truth I am not sure what has brought me back to this blog that I have neglected for nearly a year, but I do have an idea. I think it's the loss of my love Michael Jackson who I just can't stop crying over.
When I was a young girl I was a dancer. My mom and I were a team , my mom who was also a model when she was younger used to dress us up in leotards and do splits and all these dances, we would perform any chance we got and all I used to think about was coming to America to meet Michael Jackson and Mickey Mouse. When I came to America I was 7yrs old and I joined a dance group from my neighborhood called Ki'Yanu it was fun and it was going to be my stepping stone to meet Michael Jackson. I danced in that group until I was eleven and then the American culture and Tomboyness took over. Although I stopped dancing I never fell out of love with Michael Jackson. I remember when I was about 12yrs old I met Usher and I thought I was getting closer to the dream of meeting MJ. When it was all said and done , I never got to meet MJ. When he came to Times Square in NY I was so upset because I found out too late. I loved Michael Jackson he brought worlds together, he will forever live in my heart and I will make sure my kids know exactly who he is.
Well that is it for now people , writing is something I do from my heart , it is therapy for me. I really hope I have the will to share another entry with you but if not thanks for reading and keep your own flame of happiness burning in your heart because when it goes out so do you.

ON THE SCENE - ROY JONES VS. CALZAGHE LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

Hey guys welcome back , Hope all is well. Before I even get into this post I have to tell you to go and pick up a copy of the New York Beacon Newspaper, my article on Creole Restaurant is on page 19. Now lets get into this Roy Jones fight. There were some great fights before Roy Jones's main event. My boy and Brooklyn's own Zab Judah was the main under card fight. He did his thing and bought a win home for BK. I was really happy to see Zab on the road to getting back to the Champion fighter stature he once was. After Zab's win the crowed was energized and ready for the main event of Roy Jones Jr. Vs. Calzaghe. Calzaghe who is the Light Heavyweight Champion of the world is from Wales and his fans came out in full force. I mean there were so many Calzaghe fans in Madison Square Garden I thought I as in Wales. The Calzaghe fans were serious about their boy, they had Wales flags on and chanted Wales!Wales! all through out the fight. The craziest part for me was the Wales national anthem, I can't event describe it..lol.
The first round my boy Roy came out swinging he even had a first round knock down that had the crowed going wild. I thought "yeah he got this", but I was wrong . The first round knock down was one of the only Roy Jones highlights in 12 rounds. He got gassed up with his first knock down and kept fishing for another one. He only threw power punches that were not connecting. It was a mess, in the 4th round Calzaghe threw a power punch that landed over Roy's right eye and it was down hill from there for the once Pound for Pound baddest fighter in the land. The cut kept on leaking and Calzaghe kept on working that eye, at one point I didn't want to look at it anymore. I mean I have been to more fights than I can remember and that was the worst one yet. Every thing that was white in the ring was red, even the referee was slipping on blood. I thought for sure they were going to stop the fight, but it just kept going. There was a full house in attendance to witness the blood bath. Celebrities such as fighters Hopkins and Winky Wright , rapper LL Cool J, actors Catherine Zeta Jones ( who is from Wales) and her husband Micheal Douglas were all there. Sitting close to me were Osi Uminyara of the Giants and his girlfriend Victoria Secret model Saleta E. Banks (once engaged to Nick Cannon)but they left before the fight started. Sitting ringside I had full view of all the excitement , so enjoy the pics.

Quick Note: Calzaghe had a victory over Bernard Hopkins earlier this year after a split decision made him victorious. Hopkins protested that win because he like Roy Jones knocked Calzaghe down in the first round. Hopkins was ringside at the Roy Jones fight looking like he was gearing up for a rematch.

ON THE SCENE -HOWARD HOMECOMING

Hey guys welcome back. So I had fun in DC a few weeks ago. I went with my BFF Chedda to her Homecoming. Howard Homecoming is by far the Best college Homecoming ever. I had a ball partying all weekend and eating good. The clubs are always fun in DC because they are so big. I didn't go to Love the old Dream , because I heard its become a tourist attraction and you know I only want to be at the exclusive spots. I hit the yard during the day as well. So here are some pics enjoy.
There goes the AKA's doing their AKA thing. You know Chedda and I walked through the Delta's formation..it was so funny. They were looking at us like we were crazy..straight School Daze style..lol

Before I left DC..I went to Sideline Sports Bar to watch the Redskins game. It's cool because it is across the street from the Redskins arena.

ON THE SCENE- THE BABY PHAT FASHION SHOW 09'

Hey guys welcome back ..enjoy one of my articles.
For many years now designer Kimora Lee Simmons' Baby Phat shows has been
one of the hottest tickets in town during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. And
this year's Decade celebration show last Friday, Sept 12th, was no
exception. The show was held at it's usual venue, the amazing Roseland Ballroom. The atmosphere backstage before the show was exciting. Models were getting their finishing touches and press awaited eagerly for the first looks and exclusive interviews with the woman of the hour. Armed with my gold All Access Pass, I was able to see Kimora emerge from her dressing room wearing a charming green 70's inspired strapless jumper, with lots of gold accessories. One of the
reporters complemented Kimora on her gold ring and the Diva instantly took the ring off and gave it to the reporter, how Fab is that! Like the Baby Phat shows in the past there was lots of star power. Celebrities such as Andre Leon Tally of Vogue, tennis great Serena Williams, basketball star Carmello Anthony accompanied by his fiancé/MTV host La La Vasquez, singer Aubrey O'Day of Danity Kane, model/actress Joy
Bryant, Rapper Jada Kiss, and many more flooded the front rows. As the
lights dimmed the moment we all waited almost an extra hour for was
finally here. A huge monitor at the head of the runway showed a video of
Baby Phat's growth and evolution over the last decade. The fabrics flowed
and the accessories glowed as Kimora showcase the perfect juxtaposition of
modern high fashion and vintage urban chic. The colors were bright and the
hair was straight and long. Inspired by the looks of the sixties and
seventies; with wide leg pants, headscarves and beautiful ethnic prints
that were candy to the eyes, Wood Stock came to 5th Ave. Purple and green
were seen all over the runway. The models wore denim shorts that can be
worn as underpants and swimsuits that double as tops . With funky music
and flashing lights this show was quite an extravaganza from start to
finish. I truly enjoyed it. The notable absence of Russell Simmons who has never missed a show until now was further highlighted as Kimora' new love Djimon Honsu took Russell's usual place at the beginning of the catwalk and accepted the traditional hugs and kisses from adorable daughters and little fashionista's in training, Ming and Akoi Lee Simmons.Kimora Lee Simmons is well known for her Faboulosity, so it was no surprise that the after party was over the top. The post show festivities were held at The Plaza Hotel on 59th street and 5th ave. There was a private dinner in the Terrace room followed by guests moving
upstairs for more champagne, music by DJ Cassidy and dancing in The Grand
Ballroom. Kimora changed into a ravishing gold sequenced gown and was a
gracious host to partygoers including actor Ice Tea and wife CoCo, singers
Maxwell and Latoya Luckett among other stars. Coupled with great clothing,
celebrities and a luxurious ambiance the Baby Phat experience was a night
to remember.

Hey guys welcome back. I have been gone for a very longtime, but I am back now. There is have so much to tell you about. After careful consideration I decided to start with my birthday. On June 5th I had a huge celebration and all of my close friends came out to celebrate with me. My girls from my crew Major League Officials surprised me with a hotel room at the Waverly hotel in the Village. They gave me a full glam makeover for the day. I got my dress from L'Impasse on West 8th street in Soho and my hair and makeup was done by my BFF Major Chedda. After dinner at Chef Yu restaurant I headed over to 40/40 lounge and then had a huge party at Star Lounge in the Chelsea Hotel. It's actually the same place Rihanna threw her BFF a Bday party recently. I had so much fun..

Hey guys welcome back. It has been a while since my last post but as we all know it's about quality not quantity on this site. With that said let's get into it. Recently there has been a huge BUZZ around Wesley Snipes because of his Tax Problems. If you are not aware, our favorite Blade star was convicted in a Florida court of three counts of failing to file tax returns, but he did get off the hook on conspiracy and fraud charges. Snipes is facing 3 years in jail and has to pay back millions of dollars in unpaid taxes. Now I am sure you are wondering what do I have to do with Mr. Snipes..lol. Well here is the joke, recently I went to a birthday party for one of my friends in a Mansion in Alpine, NJ. The house was amazing and I thought whoever lives here is Major!!.. It felt like the house of bachelor but not in my wildest dreams did I think it was one of Wesley Snipe's secret properties. I found out the next day that the Mansion I went to was a house that Snipes secretly bought through his company and he owes $70,000.00 of unpaid taxes on the property. The house is sitting on 2acres and is worth 8 million dollars and this fool will have it go into forecloser for 70G's , what a shame!!! Well enjoy the pics..

Hey guys welcome back..I missed you sooo much. I have been busy working on a few other projects . So lets get into it, unless you have been under a rock you must be aware that it is Fashion Week and the Herve Leger show was the hottest ticket in town. Herve Leger is a French designer that has been around for a very long time , he designed Fur coats for Frendi and got his start with the one and only Karl Lagerfield. In 1989 he launched his designs into the fashion world. His trademark is now fabrics mixed with Lurex, Lycra, Elastene, stretch fabrics wound around the body for a tight fit. Hever Leger dresses are a red carpet staple for some of our hottest celebrites. It is also one of my favorites as well. So here are some herve looks enjoy!

Minse Montana is making his mark in the music and television industry with his company Montana management. He is also currently working on a documentary based on the life of his late father an NYC legend. Montana went to Vegas this month to watch the Floyd Mayweather fight. I was really excited to speak to him because I helped him plan it, so my thank you was allowing me to post these pics..lol. In case you missed the fight Mayweather fought an undefeated European boxer name Ricky Hatton and beat him by KO in round 10.

Hey guys this is the most entries I have ever written on one night, I am really trying to make up for keeping you waiting so long for a new entry. As usual my night didn't stop until it was snowing at 6am and I was in a diner..lol. After my fun filled evening at the Garden. I decided to go to 40/40 and unwind. One of my friends was playing pool and she was truly dominating the pool table. I want to take this entry and congratulate her for beating four guys straight in one night..lol. To make things more satisfying one of the players she beat was Trech from Naughty By Nature. He was a great sport and took the loss well ..Enjoy the pics.

ON THE SCENE-THE BIG APPLE CLASSIC 07'

Hey guys welcome back, it's been a while so I am excited to be posting another entry. I have been my usual busy self and with that said lets just get right into it. Recently I attended the Big Apple Classic at Madison Square Garden. The classic had two of HBCU finest colleges going at in basketball. It was a clash of the titans to see who was the real HU, Howard University or Hampton University. At the end of the night Hampton University took home the trophy. The game was lots of fun Al Sharpton was in the building and Hamptons pep team was the bomb..So enjoy the pics and check me out in my press seats..lol

The Hampton University students came out fully painted in their colors. It was so funny, they had all of these crazy chants, they were the best part of the game for me.

There I go keeping score and taking notes for you guys. Hampton beat Howard 60-30, from what I hear they beat them every year..lol.

Before I go I must give a big shout out to the Howards special band. They performed during half time and they were amazing. I have not seen too many college bands perform, but so far they were the best I have ever seen. They were doing all kinds of tricks and stunts.

Hey guys welcome back, hope you are having a great weekend. As for me I did a lot of resting, at the moment I am watching the American Music Awards , Aleisha Keys killed it on her performance. During the week I went to a party at the Louis Vuitton store in SoHo with my friend Miss. Louis Vuitton herself Jackie Rowe, VP of Pugilist Gear. The party was hosted by the Chief Luxury Officer of Robb Report Carol Brodie. Carol was a great host, she is also known for her former role as the Director of Global Communications for Harry Winston. Louis Vuitton showed some of their hot new pieces. I saw a crocodile bag for $35,000.00...can we say "sticker shock". Their was a painter on hand painting really cool designs on hard sided pieces. The food was great and as you can see from my pics the drinks just kept on coming..lol. Enjoy the pics and post a comment.

Obie of Motions 5th Anniversary Party

Hey guys , welcome back so I am back and I really missed everyone. Believe it or not I actually had Bloggers Block lol...This weekend I partied like a rock star. My friend and party promoter Obie of Motions Ent had an all black 5th anniversary party.. If you are in NY you must experience an Obie party, he gets ontop of the bar and hosts the event all night long. He throws a better party than Puff..lol yeah I said it. SPOTLIGHT - KNICKS CITY DANCERS

Hey guys, I really wanted to write about The Knicks Dancers because they did there thing last night at the game. There is more on the game in the post below. My friend that I went to game with kept telling how hot they were. He was all about seeing the girls shake their tail feathers. So I decided to find out who these girls really are . The only Knicks dancer I was familiar with was Asia from the Pussy Cat Dolls. After doing a little more research I found out these girls are on the move and celebrating there 16th year at MSG. Amy a Knicks girl was featured in 50 Cents "I Get Money" video. What I found really cool was that during the game they announced the accomplishments of the Dancer, the said one was going to run a marathon and another was going to be in the Radio City Rockets. They also did a lot of video taping of them , so I looked into what all of the footage was for. I found out that these girls have their own show..lol. They had a show the was on their site called making of the Knicks City Dancers. It stems from this huge competition that was in June and was launched October 11th. It was really cool the had this big search with a long list of celebrity judges that includes Asia Nitollano (Pussy Cat Dolls and Former Knick Dancer), Lil Mama(Rapper),Misa Hylton(Stylist),and my girls Cicely and Olisa of NuStylz(Choreographers). When I worked with Missy Elliot the Nu Stylz girls were her back up dancers, big shout out to them. Here goes some pics that gathered for you guys..enjoy.

ON THE SCENE- THE NEW YORK KNICKS

Hey guys, how is it going? So the case is over and things seem to be back to normal for the Knicks. At least that is what I was told, so I decided it was safe for me to go a game and shed some light on team that is in need of some good PR. I went to the Knicks vs. The 76ers game last night. It was lots of fun to watch, but it kind of felt like I was in the club. I did not realize that all of these ball players party way too much. I recognized a few guys from the NY club scene that I did not even know was in the NBA..lol.Watching the 76ers play was a bore because their was no Allen Iverson. The Knicks on the other hand was on fire, Nate Robinson was the star of the night scoring 20pts all in the second half. While watching the game I kept looking over at Isaiah Thomas, and just thinking about how dumb he was for that Black B-word statement he admitted to saying. I had great floor seats so it was the best..lol.Brandy’s ex the starting forward for Knicks, Quintin Richardson was there but he was in a suit sitting out the game with a sore left ankle. Well the Knicks won 103 to 90. How exciting ,this is the second time they beat The 76ers in the Pre-Season.

THERE GOES NATE..HE IS THE SHORTEST ON THE TEAM..BUT I THINK HE GOT THE MOST UPS..LOL

OK CURRY ..DO YOUR THING..I ALWAYS SEE HIM AROUND IN THE CLUB..BUT I NEVER KNEW HE WAS ON THE KNICKS.

Hey guys, welcome back. So it's Thursday which means the weekend is almost here. It has been a tough week for me because my Camera broke, but I am upgrading it today. I have been doing a lot of things but I was unable to document everything for you guys. But it's cool because I did get a few pics to share with you. So as you may know by now Mariah Carey was all over town talking about her new perfume M., which actually smells really good. I personally think that Mariah is lots of fun, but I have been hearing everyone around me saying that they don't like her. EATING OUT - NEW CATS CAFE RESTAURANT BAR AND LOUNGE

Hey guys welcome back, as the weekend comes to an end , I decided to give you a little recap. Last night I went to a restaurant in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn to hang out with a few friends. I actually went to Sheepshead Bay High school so it was like revisiting my past. The restaurant that I went to is called New Cats Cafe, it is located by the water on the coolest strip in the Bay. It was lots of fun and I had a blast hanging with the Russians and saying "DA" all night..lol. The tiger shrimp was to die for, but there was a small problem when I ordered Salmon and they bougt the uncooked one out. Apparently I ordered the Salmon from the Cold Entree menu, other than that the food was great and I was drinking my amaretto sours all night. With that said enjoy the pics.

Hey guys welcome back, hope this week is going well for you. As for me I am trying to recuperate from an event I went to Monday Night. I really try not to go out on Monday's because it makes the rest of the week so hard for me..lol.But you know I always need material for you guys so I look at it as work..lol. On my way home a friend of mine decided to make a stop in China Town to a restaurant that he called House of Dollar Bills. When we pulled of to the restaurant I was blown away, there were one dollar bills everywhere, and I mean everywhere. The House of Dollar Bill is a Chinese restaurant located in China Town at 69 Baynard St. The place is plastered with dollar bills , the ceiling the walls everywhere! Oh yeah the food is really good there, it is a great place for seafood lovers. When you go there try the Butterfly Shrimp or Shrimp fried rice. I loved this spot because it is open until 5am and two people can eat for $25..lol.

Hey guys welcome back, so it's Sunday and I am doing my wrap up for the past few weeks. I am just thinking about a few things that I didn't mention to you guys that I had planned on putting you onto. One thing that popped up is the new Keyshia Cole album "Just Like You". I went to one of her album release parties in NYC that was hosted by my friend Obi of Motions Ent. and her manager Manny. The party was a lot of fun she even did an impromptu performance of her hit single " Let It Go". Keyshia sat at the table next to mine so I got a good look at her outfit and what really went on..lol. When she came in the crowd went wild they were kind of buggin. But you know Keyshia's fans really love her because she is so real. She did not stay as long as some would have liked but she was doing two parties in one night. I later heard her on a Baltimore radio station saying that she had to get on the road right after the party for an event in DC. But her fans were just happy to see her and getting into the party was a task in itself, but that was usual for an Obie of Motions Ent. event.Oh yeah I can't forget to let you guys know that MochaMoves was getting shout outs in the party..lol. Now back to Keyshia, her outfit was cute, she had on a wide leg denim one piece ( for the record wide leg denim is back) with a large Chanel belt. From what I have heard the album is hot and it even debut at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. So go out and pick one up and enjoy some pics from the event.

This is the season for new albums and a the long awaited Alicia Keys album is on it's way. Her new album will be called "As I Am" and is scheduled to drop on November 13th. The reason Alicia Keys album made it into my blog is because I had a MochaMoves connection with it. I was in the city on my way to one of my friends Modeling company and bumped into this long line that was going around a block. I asked what the line was about only to find out that it was an audition line for Alicia Keys backup singers, so I joined..lol just kidding!.Well I didn't join the line but I did take a few pictures, when people have a passion they are really dedicated because there were hundreds of people out there trying to fill two slots. Other than the in store event Macy's set up a VIP lounge for the superstar. Hey guys welcome back, I hope your weekend is going well. Recently I went shopping at one of my favorite stores Bergdorf Goodman, after shopping I decided to take a look at the fall windows. To my surprise it was not just all about the latest fall fashions, it was also about a new fall book. Bergdorf Goodman had a window dedicated to the new book, The New York Look Book: A Gallery of Street Fashion by New York magazine's Amy Larocca and renowned photographer Jake Chessum. The New York magazine has a section where they spotlight different looks from the streets of New York City, this book contains a combination of those pics. The pics are so much fun to look at, they captured people dressed up in old school gear and all. The book is actually the first book published by editor-in-chief Adam Moss.The pics inspired me so much that I went out in the streets of NY to capture a few of my own New York looks. Hey guys welcome, not sure if you heard the buzz, but this is All Hip Hop Week. This week the Hip Hop website allhiphop.com is hosting a bunch of cool events. Because I can't be everywhere at once, our correspondent Honeybunn covered an event for me. She was initially going to check out Justins Monday Night Football event and noticed a long line wrapping around the block for the AllHipHop fashion show and immediately changed her plans. She enjoyed the show alot and was texting me the details while she was there..lol.LL Cool J hosted the star studded event. Featured designers in the show were Sean John, LRG, Garbege, Triple 5 Soul and many more. Had I known it was going to be so poppin I would have changed my plans, Crime Mob and Soulja Boy performed. WOW! Now am really tight, I would have shut it down with my version of the Soulja Boy..lol. They even had celebrity models in the show such as Nik Pace (from ANTM cycle 5 ),Consequence, Nina Sky, Amanda Diva and Wynter Gordan (a new singer). OUT AND ABOUT- STREETS OF NY

Hey guys welcome back, I swear I have an overload of stuff to tell you guys about. While walking in the streets of New York City I witness so many crazy things I don't where to start. Some of the things I see sometimes really don't go along with the fun theme of this site. But because I have creative control of my entries, I can put up whatever I feel is interesting. So lets get into it and I will call these sections Out And About. Yesterday I was shopping on 5th ave in Manhattan, at about 12:20pm I passed Radio City Music hall and it was calm. I was rushing so I just ran into a few stores, when I passed back by the Radio City area at about 12:50pm I saw the craziest thing, there was smoke everywhere. It looked like the pics I seen of 9/11 before the Towers fell. I took a few pics and asked a few questions and was out of there, cause I know how that go. I am from BK and we don't wait around for it to go down, we go THAT way!..lol. The bystanders told me that a cab went up in flames, that is all I needed to hear. A cab going up in flames sounded way too familiar to me, I watch CNN and that is all they seem to do in Iraq, car explosions. I read today in The New York Post the cab went up in flames unexpectedly and they don't know why. Thank god the 30yr veteran cab driver who only had the car for 6 months is unharmed. He was smart enough to jump out the car when he saw the flames.

Hey guys welcome back, I hope you are enjoying the weekend. Recently I went to a really nice baby shower for Rapper Queen Pen with my good friend Jackie Rowe. Jackie is a mover and shaker in the entertainment industry, who has discovered and orchestrated the success of some of your favorite international super stars. She has been in the industry for over 20 years and is the founder of one of the leading management firms, Jacqueline Rowe & Associates. For those who are not familiar with Queen Pen, she is a Brooklyn based Rapper/Author who in the late 90's had chart topping hits with Blackstreet. Queen Pen was signed to Teddy Riley's label Lil Man Records. Her album My Melody went gold, she toured with New Edition and Blackstreet on the "Home Again Tour". She then went on to Motown Records and released her second album "Conversation With the Queen",which did well.Beyond being a rapper she is now a very successful author signed to Simon & Schuster, her two novels Situations and Blossom have sold more than 70,000 copies, combined. With that said she was a real sweetheart and the shower was lots of fun. It was not like your traditional showers because she had the baby before the shower, so every one was up and dancing. ON THE SCENE- 50 CENT FIVE BOROUGH TOUR

Hey guys welcome back. So 50 Cent is doing it up in NYC with his Five Borough tour, he is doing a show in every borough in New York City. Because I love you guys so much I decided that I had to make it out to one of his venues and get the scoop. I went to the venue that I thought would be the safest,The Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. The show started about two hours late, but it was worth it for the real 50 Cent fans. It the past I used to dress most of the artists , so I would be backstage or in someones dressing room while there were on stage and miss the whole show. But now I am so over that I want to be front row rocking out with the artists. When I was younger I used to think damn I wish I was old enough to go out to the shows, so now I take advantage of concerts. I mean I never saw 2 Pac or BIG in concert or even Kris Cross damn it ...lol. 50 did the whole show with Lloyd Banks and Toney Yayo, the were fun to watch. In the middle of the show he bought out Jim Jones and Jewelz Santana , they killed with BALLLLIN..LL Cool J was in the audience and a friend of mine backstage said he even saw Ciara. FASHION-PEOPLE MAGAZINE SHOW

Hey guys welcome back, it is such a beautiful day outside. I can't wait to get out there and take it all in. I have been hearing alot of buzz about People Magazines Best and Worst dressed list. From what I hear, Beyonce toped the list, yeah for one for B...lol. Just incase you don't know who the other person in the battle is, it is Rihanna..lol. And Rihanna scored a point in my book with her MTV VMA dress. Well, enough I will leave the gossip to the other blog sites. I went to a fashion show that was thrown by People magazine to celebrate the launch of thier Best and Worst Dressed List. The show was really nice there were four hot models and they wore the looks that will be all the rave this fall. The concept of the show was to showcase pieces that will keep you off of The Worst Dressed List. There was a celebrity stylist hosting the show, but the real behind the scenes guy was Image Consultant and Fashion Stylist, Carlton Spence. He was really nice and his assistant Cathy is also really cool. They showcased a lot of looks that I can definately see myself in.
Here are some pics from the show enjoy and tell me what you think about the looks. The host said that some of the looks were inspired by Rihanna and Katie Holmes.

MUSIC-KANYE VS. 50 CENT

Hey everyone welcome back, so the big question is , who did you buy Kanye or 50? Well as we all know Kanye West and 50 Cent are trying to outsell each other opening week. After hearing all of the buzz about this challenge MochaMoves decided to get in on all of the action. I went out to the record store to see if there were any lines or if the albums were sold out. Since we always do it big here at MochaMoves, we checked out one of the largest records stores in the world, Virgin Mega Store in Times Square. To my surprise there were no lines and their CD's were not sold out. I went along with one of my correspondents, and she was actually purchasing a CD herself. She decided to go with Kanye West, 1 for Kanye..lol. So far I have been hearing that Kanye is actually out selling 50 Cent buy over a hundred thousand records. But over here at MochaMoves I only care about the facts so I will wait and see. An interesting thing I learned about Virgin Record store is they don't allow kid under 18 in the store before three on weekdays with out a parent, which is cool. Hey guys welcome back. So this week has been really exciting for Hip Hop with the 50 Cent and Kanye West albums dropping. It has also been a big week for the fashion world as well,and tell you the truth I don't know what to write about first...Ok I have made up my mind I will write about Fashion first. Recently I went to a Fashion Show at Gotham Hall in NYC with a few friends. We went to support one of the models and I also went to see whats next in fashion. It was not your traditional fashion show, it had a lot of flavor. The models were supper sexy, and they were not afraid to show it, actually a girl from the first season of BET's College Hill was in it. I wish I remembered her name, but I don't , she was a tom boy on the show maybe you will recognize her from my pics. She also had some Janet Jackson action with one of her outfits , but it did not seem to faze her at all...lol.I should have taken some names so I can tell you a full list of the designers , but I was too busy being entertained by the clothing..lol. Well here goes what I can remember . There was a line called Nobody Clothing, it consist of tanks and loungewear. Then there was The House of Hot CoCo,that line was crazy, it consists of alot of stripper outfits. Don't get me wrong the pieces were nice but that was the only way to describe them, and you will see what I mean in the pictures.lol. Oh and I can't forget the African clothing line , the designs were original and the designers came straight from Africa. Well enjoy the pics and post comments..

I am sure by now you all have heard of Justins Restaurant. It is PDiddy's Restaurant in New York City and Atlanta. I went to Justins for a business meeting, only to realize that there Monday Night Football event has begun. The food was great and the crowd was full of interesting people. TRAVEL- VEGAS

Hey guys welcome back, I hope your weekend is going well. Because of all the the Vegas talk this week, I decided to put together a Travel entry about Sin City. The MTV Awards which is being shown today was filmed in Vegas last night and from what I heard it was a blast. Vegas was also the host of the Magic Show last week, so everyone I know is out there right now. Over the past too weeks I got a lot of calls from my friends asking me where to stay or what to do when they hit Sin City, so I decided to put together an entry highlighting some of my favorite spots. So here we go, when I am in Vegas I usually stay at the Venetian Hotel. The Venetian is an amazing Italian themed hotel, if you stay at this hotel you might forget about the rest of the Vegas Strip because they are just so many entertaining things to do out there. One of the hottest restaurants and clubs is an elevator ride away from your room , TAO. TAO is known for its hot celebrity parties and great dining. To avoid waiting on long lines at night, you should go eat in the day and tell your waiter that you will be coming back at night and they will give you a get in free stamp for the after party. A must see is the canal on the 2nd floor of the hotel, you must not leave with you taking a gondola ride through the hotel. The top hotel in Vegas is The Wynn Las Vegas, The Wynn is fairly new to the Vegas Strip but it sets the standards for luxury. A nights stay at The Wynn or the Venetian for a basic room usually starts at $550.00. One of my favorite restaurants in Vegas is Emerald located in The MGM, which is also a good hotel to stay at for Boxing events. Other hotels that made my top 5 list are The Bellagio, Cesears Palace and The Mandalay Bay. My top clubs are Tao(Venetian ), Pure(Cesears Palace), Rain(Palms Hotel)and ICE. Those clubs are usually sooo poppin!..you don't want to leave. Earlier this year I went to some amazing parties in Vegas, Jay Z and Lebron James shut down TAO, Allen Iverson had Ice packed and nothing compared to how PDiddy made it rain in Rain..lol. So the next time you are planning a trip to Vegas let me know so I can tell my people you are coming..Enjoy some of my vegas pics and don't forget to post a comment.

Hey you guys, stick with me and I will show you the world..lol. Thank you for coming back and checking me out. In this post I want to spotlight a really special person who is also my favorite person of the week and that is Alek Wek. Alek is an international Super Model and the author of new Memoir "Alek Wek From Sudanese Refugee to International Super Model". This week there has been a lot of press covering the launch of her new book. I wanted to write something on it earlier but I didn't because I was not physically at any of those events. And the whole idea of MochaMoves is writing about events that I have actually been to. So when I got an invite to an Alek Wek book reading I was really excited to cover this event. It was a really small private event and Alek showed up on time, which was unexpected because this is Fashion Week. She spoke really well, and talked about her life and her family. She was born in Sudan and her father died when she was nine, she is also one of 9 children. Her mom is the matriarch of the family and they fled to Europe from the Sudan War. She was discovered by a modeling scout at a mall in London. Alek allowed the audience to ask her questions, which was really nice. She had an English accent and looked as flawless as she does in the magazines. I related to her a lot because my father is from Africa and I have a sister there as well. By the way she spoke you can tell that she was really down to earth. Her book had family pics that anyone from the islands can relate to. So show her some love and enjoy the pics. And now I feel like an official photographer because I have taken pics of a super model..lol. So the next time you see me if I have one of those huge fashion photographer cameras don't laugh..lol

ON THE SCENE-FERGIE BAG LAUNCH

Hey and welcome back. So as you will notice in three of the posts I have on the same thing..lol. That is because I was doing a lot in one day for my "MochaMoves" readers. I caught up with my girl Fergie before she did her huge launch event for Kipling handbags. The funniest thing is as I am writing "My Humps" is playing on MTV. Fergie and Kipling collaborated for a new line called "Fergie Kipling Handbags". I saw a few of the Kipling executives carrying the new line and they looked really cool. The styles are separated into three designs Nice Scout, Naughty Scout and The Dutchess. The bags are fun and affordable they range from $75 to $200. Fergie was pretty nice she even posed for me to take an exclusive pic of her, her body guard was also pretty huge..so she looked so tiny. But you know everyone looks tiny to me when I have on my heals ..lol. Well enjoy the pics.

ONE THE SCENE- FASHION WEEK

Hey guys welcome back. I hope you enjoyed the long Labor Day weekend. You know I was on the scene at the parade, and I hung out with a lot of cool people. I will post the entry up about the parade a little later in the week. With that said lets get into today's entry. As we all know New York Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 08' has begun. I used to really be into the fashion shows a few years back but now I honestly can't keep up with those events. I go when I can , or if I think an event is actually going to be a good time for me or something fun to write about.
But yesterday I decided to go to The Second Annual Fashion Extravaganza by I Style Starz Entertainment. The show was hosted by Nik from America's Next Top Model Cycle Five and Miguel Perdomo the new face of Sean John. The show was actually a fund raiser to benefit HIV and AIDS awareness. One of its sponsors were BET's Rap It Up Campaign. The show was cool my favorite section was by Kasuele Furs. The host Miguel Perdomo was really good looking but very hood..lol..and Nik was very bubbly..I saw her getting her hair and makeup done, I wanted to take a pic, but I knew it would not be a good look for her..lol..The show started off very classy by honoring an AIDS Activist Michael Patrick Saunders he is a Gay man that has been living with HIV for almost 24 yrs..WOW! and he looked great and very healthy. But it did get a little hood ..lol..during an intermission they asked people to show their model walk and Dara from Charm School, got up and did her thing ..lol.Alisha Renae(The Five on Bet host) was also there, but she left a few minutes before the show started. MOVEMENT SPOTLIGHT-THE BOOK GAME

Hey and welcome back. New York is known for the talented people that inhibit this city. It is one of the only places that you find people so confident about their work that they are willing to sell it to you directly. After you read that last sentence what usually comes to mind is the Rap Game, in which you see guys out selling their hot new CD. Through that hustle a new one has spawned and that is the Book Game. These new breed of authors come out and sell their books themselves, which also gives the reader a chance to get the coveted "autograph copy of book". I wanted to take this time to spotlight some of the authors that are out there selling their books and moving units in the book game. While scouring the streets on NY looking for the next hot book, I came across a must read for smokers and everyone who loves a good laugh..lol..The book is called "How To Roll A Blunt for Dummies". This book is so funny and entertaining I could not put it down. The book is by hot new author R.Prince, the author states that it explores the Subculture of Weed Smoking in America. R.Prince basically teaches you how to roll and smoke a blunt, and also what to expect while you are high..lol. It even has a designated area in the back for crushing your stuff..lol. And after meeting the author I feel this guy really knows his stuff. He is a filmmaker from Harlem and his book states he has over 20yrs of blunt rolling experience. Hey and welcome back. I am usually traveling all year round but this year I have so many projects in the works, I am unable to have as much fun as I usually do. But I would not let my traveling schedule deprive you guys of seeing some fun in the sun. One of my many mochamoves.blogspot.com correspondent took a fun filled trip to Aruba and she decided to document it for you guys. So here goes Travel Entry Blog-Aruba style. The island of Aruba a part of the West Indies and is located in the Caribbean Sea. The island's population is about 89,000. The capital is Oranjestad named after the Dutch House of Orange. When picking a vacation spot my girl Laurie did not choose Mexico or any other of those hot spots because she knew that it was hurricane season and Aruba is known for its mild climate and never gets hit with storms. Well while she was gone Hurricanes came threw and destroyed a lot of the popular tropical destinations in Jamaica and Mexico. Although she told me not to worry and storms going to Aruba, I still worried, but thank god she was right and had the Time of her life. Although she was only there for one week she did a month worth of activities, and came back with lots of pictures to prove it . Laruie and her daughter enjoyed horse back riding , trips to the butter fly farm , ostrich farm and even swam in a natural pool. There was only one thing about Aruba that I don't think I would be able to get used too, that is the Iguanas that are everywhere! Well anyway the next time I go on vacation I won't leave without taking an underwater tour of the island. So enjoy the pics and when choosing you next vacation destination keep Aruba in mind.

Eating Out-BUDDAKAN

Hey and welcome back. Over the weekend I went out to eat at this really nice restaurant. On the way in I even saw Ashford from Ashford and Simpson..lol..He was dressed in all white and his perm was straighter than mine..lol. I had 9:30 reservations but as usual I was 15 minutes fashionably late. At the front of the restaurant there is a reservations desk, that is more like a hotel check in counter. After I checked in I knew that I would be in for a dining experience. At first I was not sure if I would be able to put you guys on to this spot, but then I thought, my readers are more important to me than anything else so I pulled out my camera and got an entry together for you guys ,so enjoy. Buddakan is one of the countries top restaurants by Stephan Starr specializing in modern Asian cuisine, it was opened in March 2006 and since then all of the celebrities have been seen at this hot spot. Buddakan is few blocks from the Budda-Bar but there is no relation. If you go there late, after dinner you can go a few blocks to Lotus or PM for a night of dancing. They are with in blocks of this restaurant. As an appetizer the Lobster Spring Rolls are really good and any kind of shrimp is great as well. The restaurant is like an enchanted land and the ceilings are amazingly high. Upstairs however feels very personal because it is split up into a few sections. Well I really don't want to tell you too much because I want you to experience it yourself...So enjoy the pics.

Hey and welcome back,recently there was a video shoot in New York City that I wanted to check out but do to my schedule I was unable too, but that did not stop me from getting an entry together for you guys. My BFF Major Chedda, an official correspondent for www.mochamoves.blogspot.com was on the scene. It was the "Ay Bay Bay" Remix video shoot and as per Chedda the shoot went well, she did not stay all night but from what she saw the celebs really came out to support the Down South movement. She hung out with our friend and favorite DJ, Mix Tape DJ of the year recipient DJ PCutta. He has a hot new mix tape out now "Go Hard Or Go Home". Notables that were on the set were Bay Bay the radio personality, Angie Loc (hot new artist), DJ Smurf (collie park) who makes hits for Ying Yang Twins and is also behind the Soldier Boy movement, The Lox and Pit Bull. I love his work so I decided to put you on to a guy who is making some waves in the world of art. Edgar is originally from Guatemala but in 2005 he became a part of the Brooklyn family. His art work is really interesting I get lost in the picture ,it's so deep. I don't know how he does it, but he creates a whole new world on paper. He draws cities that are unknown to man, but his drawings look so real that you feel someone must have had to have visited it to draw it. So enjoy some of the pics.

Hey and welcome back. In one of my earlier posts, I think it's the one that I went to the Pool. I told you that I went to one of my favorite spots, Bogota to get some drinks. Well last night I didn't want to go to the club or anything like that so I decided to go to Bogota for happy hour, while there I decided to put together an entry to put you guys on to one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. Well here it goes, Bogota Latin Bistro is a restaurant in Park Slope Brooklyn that specializes in Central & South American cuisine with an emphasis on Columbian dishes. It was opened in July 2005 by Farid Ali(part Columbian) and George Costantinoe(part Costa Rican). Well I really like going to Bogota because of the drinks, there frozen margaritas are best I have ever tasted, and I swear it's like every time I go there it's Happy Hour. It is also one of the few places that I can go and not see anyone I know, so it's cool to hang out on the low..lol. The prices are great they even have stuff on the menu for $2 and you can get a Mojito for $4. They have what they call a Mojito Bar , there are all types of different fruity Mojitos like Strawberry and Guava. The people are great and so is the food , but I always get that Chicken Quissadillas( it has plantains inside). Every time I go there I feel like I am on vacation because they have Latin imported wines and beers. There is a real authentic feel there, all of the servers are Spanish and they have murals and flags everywhere. Ok it's finally here, the entry that you have all been waiting for , my recap of the Sreeaaam Tour. Ok lets get started as usual everything that I go to is usually last minute. So I got some tickets for The Scream Tour at the Ciara in store event and I called up one of my girls to role with me. I asked a few of my other friends if they wanted to go but they were not that enthused about Ciara and TI. But you know me I feel that when I am around the unexpected happen, so I just told them cool I will let you know how it goes. I arrived to the concert in good time because I was in the area all day . When I say good time I mean only an hour late ..lol. I walked in on Young Joc performing, he looks like he definitely has been working out . He had PDiddy as his hype man and they were doing their thing. For some reason PDiddy was not shining like he usually does, he looked a little dated with a bright yellow leather jacket..lol.But he is Diddy so he can wear whatever her wants on stage with Young Joc..lol. After that TPain hit the stage and he was really good, his hype men had so much energy and they were dancing like a singing group.

After that DaBrat came out and introduced Roxci and Terrence from 106 and Park
Then came my girl Ciara and she did her thing ..stripper pole and all lol..But the crowd went crazy because she bought out 50cent and he killed it by performing his hit single "I get money" accompanied by Lloyd Banks and Yayo..but where was Buck?..lol

And then TI hit the stage he did his thing and he even bought out Wyclef and they killed it.

But as if the crowd did not get there money worth already(floor seats were only $69 and tickets were not sold out wow!) TI decided to show why he is the King of the South. He bought out JayZ to the stage everyone including myself started chanting HOVA! Hova!.Then Hova killed it and next thing you know there was Puff, Hova, TI and 50 on stage while we were still going nutz..Swiss Beats the Monster came out of no where with his smash "She aint got no money in Bank". Oh I can't wait until I figure out how to post some video on this site. The crowd was going wild and so was my friend who came with me ...The whole show started to feel surreal no one could believe there eyes. And then as if we were not going threw it enough ..Everyone started to really scream when they heard" AWWW AWWW AWWW Wait till I get my money right ohohoh" Kanye came on stage like a ball of energy and killed it . 50 cent was even caught up in the moment so much he was throwing up the Dynasty sign..and i got the pics to prove it ..lol.mediatakeout.com said that they heard it as a rumor , it is true cause mochamoves.blogspot.com is always really on the scene.

Oh yeah I was there too ..and I was proud to throw up the Diamond wearing the Rocawear hoodie I bought earlier that day.lol..

Hey and welcome back. So my day started up really slow but who knew it would end so spectacular. I went to a Ciara in store event for Rocawear and it was fun, she looked great. While looking through the Rocawear section I saw allot of really nice pieces, they stepped it up. The logos were well placed and everything looked really tasteful. While I was there I even purchased a hoodie, that fit really good. You will see I wore it for the rest of the day..

I swear you might really start seeing me in allot more of these urban brands, they are looking hot. Especially this Apple Bottom dress, you can't deny that this dress is hot and it was just $75. And I am sure I am not the only hot girl feeling that way, watch all the fly girls start rocking the hood gear..lol..well maybe not..lol

Summer Fun -6 Flags

So as you can see my Summer is going well, but nothing made my summer more that going to Six Flags Great Adventure. Every Summer I am always mad that I did not get a chance to do my theme park thing. So this Summer when I was given 2 tickets to the Tea Bag Crew bus ride I could not pass it up. The Tea Bag Crew has a song that was poppin in Cancun for Memorial Weekend called "TEEE BAG" and you really don't want to know what it means..lol..One of the main guys behind the movement is DJ Self "The Prince on NY". The bus was poppin Big Don was the unofficial host and the drinks were flowing thanks to Buck(Selfish Music Group). They even had the woman that takes the pics for alltheparties.com on there doing her thing. I went on the craziest roller coaster "EL Toro" , I thought I was truly gonna die...OMG. One of the worst things about Six Flags are the long lines. I went on a Saturday so you know it was crazy. The only thing that saved me was the Fast Pass it is a pass that you buy for $250 and it allows 5 people to go on the ride from the exit, so no lines. It is not possible to go on more than two roller coasters in one day without that pass.

Hey and welcome back..So I have been reading about this man made beach and floating pool that is all the rave in Brooklyn. So on a hot summer day after the city shut down because of the heavy rain the night before I decided to go and check it out. I know this post has no celebrities but thats not what Major Mocha TV is about , it about me being on the move..lol. So the pool was pretty cool, it looks as if it is built on top of the bottom of a ship. Who ever thought of this is a genuis. It sits on the water and the city skyline is your back drop , they even have sand with vollyball nets around the pool. It is so cool, the only complaint is that you have to go there at least an hour early, so you can get a wrist band . There are a few different swiming sessions so everyone gets a turn. The funny story behind this pool and I is that this was my second time going up there the fist time my friends and I got there way too late so we could not go in. So the second time around I was really excited to get to swim. After swiming I went to my favorite Columbian restaurant Bogota (they have the best drinks). For the address of the pool send me a comment, I can also put you on to Bogota, they have a Mojito for everyone.

Hey and welcome back!..So at the last minute I got a call from a good friend that wanted me to come down and check out Keyshia Cole in concert. Although I love her music it was just nasty outside so I did not want to leave the house. My friend was very persistent in getting me out so i called up one of my many home girls and asked her if she wanted to go with me. Of course she was down so we hit the road. We got there so late it was not even funny. The show was set to end at 11pm and we got there at 10:50pm. After picking up my tickets we walked into the the Nokia theater and she was performing her hit song "Love". I thought I missed the whole show because at the end of the song she said thank you for coming out..lol. I was like wow..this was waste of time. My friend was grilling me as to why it took me so long,but I have known him for years and he knows that it always takes me forever to get out the house but once I am out it on! After he told me it was not the end of the show I was excited. K.Cole performed the hit song "Lastnight" without Puff. Then she went into her hot new single "I don't want your man". It was hot and she was killin it in an all white shorts outfit. I had a feeling Lil Kim would come out because it was NY, but I never thought Missy would be in the building as well. But she was and Lil Kim did come out and they rocked on stage. The night was a success. I called it an early night and did not go to the after party because it was Sunday and I needed some rest desperately.

Hey welcome back. I have allot of fun stuff to tell you guys about. I had a fun filled week full of great performances. I got a treat to some great singing. So let me start by telling you about this hot J.Holiday show that I went too recently. The show was actually held at Bo Concept's showroom on Madison Ave. Bo Concept is a furniture design company , and they have some really cool pieces. I also noticed that allot of their pieces were marked down so this is a great time to buy. Before the show they served some appetizers that I ate way too much of because I had plans to go and eat before the show but as usual my schedule got too packed. I am really in need of assistant or a body double..lol. They also had an open bar with best Vodka ever,I think it was called V2. It's mixed with tequila and it is green. Now back to the performance. J.Holiday sounds amazing live and he has an interesting hood dude look. The kind that usually never makes it to the big time, so it was really refreshing to see him. He didn't have any jewelry on just a plastic rosary .

Well after reading my entries you should know by now that my night never finishes before 10pm..lol.So after the J.Holiday performance I went over a club in the city and I saw a cool performance by Trey Songz. He did not sing as many songs as J.Holiday did but his perform ace had allot of energy and screaming girls.

Since I am always on the scene I get to witness everything first hand . This week allot has been going on all of the hot girls have been launching their new fragrance. I went to two different launches and their was a good turn out at both of them, but the Beyonce fans came out in full force. It was crazy there were about a thousand people that came to see beyonce. She was walking threw in a circle of about 30 guards. Unless you were a press photographer you were not going to get a clear view of her. The only people that got a cool pic were the few with behind the scenes access like my self. A week before that Sarah Jessica Parker launched her perfume Covet, every one was talking about the commercial for Covet . I guess it was a big hit because it was the talk of the town. Both of the perfumes were ok. Armani Diamonds the one that beyonce represents is very strong, it smells like old Hollywood.

Hey and welcome back..So the past few weeks I have been so busy, you would think that I was promoting an album. Every day one of my cool friends calls me and invites me to a new event, and they always say "you better come!". So I am not one to let people down, so I always show up. Sometimes people break their backs to get me tickets and passes for events so I don't want their efforts to go to waste. I will call this entry on the scene and tell you about a few of the events that i went to.Ok so lets start with the Zune live concert. I went to this concert a few weeks back and as usual I was late and missed the whole show. But before I left everyone kept talking about a special guest that was coming out. I had no clue who the guess was,but out no where i heard a familiar voice and then there he was Mr. LL Cool J. And he did not disappoint he killed it, pouring water and pulling up a whole stage of screaming little girls. It was really nice and he seemed to have a genuine appreciation for his fans. In the pics from the concert you will notice I have on a NEW YORK CITY tee, there is a funny story behind that. When I came out my house I had on the shortest yellow skirt, and my friend had on the highest heels. I told her the concert was called Zune Live at the BBQ. For some reason she thought that I said the concert was at BBQ so she was dressed for an indoor event not an on the grass thing. So she had to change, she did not want to go back home so we stopped in store and she bought flats and I end up buying a whole new out fit to rep my city. After the concert I was on my way home when we got a call from one of my friends, they were having a spur of the moment cookout so we turned around and had burgers at 7am. lol..That night was a blast ...and here are some pics to prove it.

Hey everyone thanks for checking out my blog. I started this blog to help me get finished writing my book. While writing the book I take alot of breaks and I don't want to watch TV because then I will fall asleep. So what I do is I check out all of those other cool websites. So then I thought why not do my own thing. I have a camera which is like my best friend. I take lots of pics because I want to remember all of my fun times. I am a natural when it comes to hosting so It should be lots of fun to watch. I am not sure where to start from so I will take you guys back to my trip in Cancun. You will see a lot of my best friends ,we have been friends for over 13 years so we have so much fun together. I went to Cancun for Memorial weekend and we stayed at Fiesta Americana. It was really nice and the people were great. I travel alot so you will get to see alot of cool places. So here are some Cancun pics.

The party was fun but the line was down the block. But if you know me you know we don't do lines..so everything moved smooth for my team. The white dress that I have on in this pic was designed by me and shoes are Louis Vuitton , you can find them at the LV store for $400. They are really cool because they are actually plastic so you can whipe down if it gets dirty and wear it to the beach. I am really into getting my clothing made for me now because it fits so well. If you need me to send you to the right person to get your clothing made just post it on the comments. You know I love giving advice on stuff like that.
